Pringle Goes CRG

Victorian karter Rick Pringle has moved to CRG. The 2006 Australian Leopard Heavy Champion will make his debut aboard the Italian brand at the Victorian Open in the Rotax Heavy class.

Pringle will still use Arrow in Leopard Heavy at Geelong but is expecting to make the full switch to CRG for the AKA Nationals.

"It all came together very quickly" Pringle told KartSportNews. "I had spoken with (CRG driver) Jason Hryniuk about having a drive of another (brand of) chassis and it went from there."

A Black Star model CRG was soon shipped from importer St George Kart Centre and it is this that Pringle will use at Geelong. He will then seek to reclaim his Australian Leopard Heavy title in the CRG kart at the Yamaha Australian Sprint Kart Championships in Launceston, Tasmania on March 21-23. Pringle will continue to use Pro Karting tuned engines.

Rick’s older brother Jason, another former Australian champion, will miss the Victorian Open due to his work commitments with the Meritus team in the GP2 Asia Series.
