200-Mile TAG Race For America

press release

Scott Paape and USA International Raceway are pleased to announce a 200 mile TaG Endurance race schedule over the June 20-22 weekend. The Bridgestone Iron Eagle 200 will pay $15,000 cash throughout the top ten with $5000 going to the winner. A host of other events and activities will also take place over the exciting weekend.

Thanks to a host of sponsors including Streeter Super Stands, Franklin Motorsports, AIM Sports, Adkins Speed Center, Margay, Grand Products and Bridgestone Tires (more sponsors to come) prize money will be paid back to the top ten teams at the end of the 200 mile event. There is also a $500 award for the top qualifier and a $200 award for the first kart out of the event.

Formula One style qualifying will be in order as teams will compete in three fifteen minute knock out sessions with the fastest karts advancing through the qualifying runs for their shot at the pole.

As USA International Raceway always does, the track crew will host an evening cook-out for competitors and their families as well as live entertainment on Saturday evening.

“We have been working on this event for the past couple of months,” explained USA International Raceway’s Scott Paape. “This is a great way for drivers to come and run our facility before any of the bigger events hit the track and not to mention $5000 to win is a pretty hefty prize. We are going to do whatever possible to make this race a staple among competitors in the years to come.”

Rules, prize money distribution (1st kart to drop out gets $200!) are HERE.
