Queensland Endurance Kart Championships Blast Into Action Saturday

press release

After the hot competition of last year, the Powered by Honda supported ProKart Australia Queensland Endurance Kart Championship is back again and the opening round of 2008 is set for this Saturday (February 16) at the Ipswich Kart Track in Queensland.

With last year’s ProKart Australia Queensland Endurance Kart Champions the Civic Avengers now retired, and now known as the Wollongong City Raceway Jets, along with A1 Racing, PDS Grand Prix Racing, Bulldog Racing and more teams heading back in 2008 the action on the track is sure to be exciting and even more fierce competition.

A total of 1080 metres makes up the Ipswich Kart Track, and a ‘6 Hour’ event will kick off the year for the hotly contested Powered by Honda ProKart Australia Queensland Endurance Kart Championship.

In total there are over 15 Endurance Kart teams, consisting of between two to four drivers in each team, participating in Saturday’s opening round and the competition is going to be hot and with a number of new teams entered for this year, predicting a winner is going to be a tough task.

Over the opening round there are both practice and qualifying sessions starting from 9am, and the 6 hour event is scheduled for a 12pm start.

The Ipswich Kart Track is located at Champions Bank in Willowbank, near Ipswich.
