ProKart Invades ACT This Weekend

This weekend (March 1 and 2) the Australian Capital Territory will be invaded by ProKart Australia action with both the second rounds of the Powered by Honda ProKart Australia Endurance Kart Championship and Super Sprint 4’s Series that is to be staged at the Fairbairn Park Kart Circuit.

There is an expected full field in both the ProKart Australia Endurance Kart Championship and Super Sprint 4’s Series, so there's certainly going to be action packed and tightly fought races across all fields.

On Saturday the second round of the Super Sprint 4’s Series for both Junior and Senior classes will see practice and qualifying, three rounds of heat races, pre final, and final, while with the ProKart Australia Endurance Kart Championship they are going to battle it on over a ‘7 Hour’ race. The ‘7 Hour’ race will be made up of capacity 28 kart field, made up of between 3 to 4 drivers per team, and there is definitely going to be plenty of action from the drop of the green flag all the way to the fall of the chequered flag. 

At the opening rounds of the ProKart Australia Endurance Kart Championship it was the Wollongong City Raceway Jets that claimed victory, while Kayla Tenneson (Juniors) and Brendan Long (Seniors) led the way in the opening round of the Super Sprint 4’s Series. Those two above mentioned drivers are certainly going to be out there aiming to continue their winning ways in their respective field.

The action on Saturday will begin at 9am with the second round of the Super Sprint 4’s Series, and practice and qualifying for the ProKart Australia Endurance Kart Championship, and on the Sunday, the 7 Hour race is set to begin at 9.30am.

Fairbairn Park Kart Circuit is located at Pialligo Ave in Queanbeyan, just on the outskirts of Canberra in the A.C.T
