Preview: NSW Speedway Round 2

press release

It’s round two for the New South Wales Speedway Kart Club GREAT 2008 season this Sunday (March 16) at the Nepean Motorsports Complex and its shaping up to be another sensational  “funday” Sunday for the karts.

The 101 Mortgage supported Nepean Challenge meeting will again see over 70 brilliantly presented karts on hand in what is shaping up to be a very competitive year.

Apart from KT Light, who are on volunteer duties, all the regular divisions will be racing with Midgets, Rookies, Juniors, Clubman (Heavy and Light), KT Heavy and Formula 100. With near record entries in most of the divisions we can expect to see quality fields in all classes.

At the opening round last month, standout performer was again the 2008 Club Champion Michael Jordan. While taking out the Junior division, Michael was also awarded with the highest point score of the day. David Hopping, racing in two divisions, was sensational in the Formula 100 winning all three heats, the feature and round, certainly cleaning up on the day.

Other round winners were Corey Foyle (Midgets), Sean Richards (Rookies), Joel Goff (KT Open) and Craig Banks (KT Heavy).

The speedway karts is a great family day out with mums, dads and the kids all getting involved whether its racing, working on a kart, an official or just being a spectator you just can’t not be impressed with the presentation, the superb racing action that only the NSWSKC racing at the Nepean Motorsports complex can provide.

At the Nepean Motorsports complex the NSWSKC meetings are developing the speedway champion’s of the future.

The Nepean Raceway is situated on Rickards Road Castlereagh with racing starting at 10am.
