Doyle Racing's First Race Weekend

press release

Our first weekend of racing went really well for us. The Warwick Kart Club’s Sandy Creek Raceway was a fantastic facility and one we are happy to have raced our first ever meeting on.

The Doyle’s Racing Kartsport Drivers finished on the lead lap all weekend and came home data rich without a scratch. Finishing 15th, 16th, 17th & 18th throughout the day in a field of 18 was a great achievement, as the team was well down on horsepower with the new clutches, out-of-the-box engines and no “go fast” parts.

Our lap times continued to improve throughout the day and by the finals, we were happily achieving consistent high 33 / low 34 second laps. Our quickest time of 33.9 was a about 3/10ths improvement on the previous day’s best practice time. A really exceptional result for a start-up team.

Our whole Team worked tirelessly throughout the weekend to refine set-ups and continually find lap time improvements. In addition to this, they also delivered what was clearly acknowledged by Officials, other Competitors and spectators alike, one of the most professional overall Team presentations ever seen at a club level Kart race meeting. Congratulatory comments on our Partner signage, Race suits, Team Shirts, Kart Decals and our level of equipment were passed on throughout the weekend. We came away from Warwick confident that we had capped off an awesome foundation stone from which we can now build upon in coming months.

The team will continue to chalk up the practice miles at other club meetings in coming weeks in preparation for Round 2 of the Harrington Doyle Gladiators Series, to be held at Toowoomba Kart Club’s Greer Park Raceway, Helidon on April 20th.

Harrington Doyle and G2 Electrical will provide a Corporate Marquee for Team Supporters and guests at Round 2. David, Travis and the team look forward to walking you through the separate Race Marquees to show you just how hard they’re working to develop the Karts and their speed.
