Yamaha All-Japan Qualifier For Ipswich

The 2008 Yamaha All Japan Qualifier will be held at Ipswich Raceway on Saturday July 19.

The winners of the Clubman Light and Yamaha TAG classes will both win trips for 2 to Japan to compete at the 32nd Annual Toyota All Japan Kart Championships. The prizes include airfares, accommodation, transfers and the supply of all the equipment necessary to compete#. On top of this, entrants in all classes will go into the draw for a range of other prizes including VIP passes to Sunday’s V8 action, pit tours and general admission passes.

The qualifier event, a one day meeting on the Saturday, will coincide with the Ipswich round of the V8 Supercars. It will be limited to Junior Clubman (for Yamaha’s only), Clubman Light, Heavy, Super Heavy, Over 40’s and the Yamaha TAG class for standard production Yamaha KT100SEC powered karts.

This year's Toyota All Japan Kart Championships will be held at the Biwako Sports Land, which is near the historical town of Kyoto, from October 2 – 5.

As well as the fantastic Karting, winners will enjoy a ride on the famous bullet train, see the bright lights of Tokyo city and experience the Japanese lifestyle and culture. 2007 Yamaha TAG winner Toby Pope said: “We had an unreal time. I love the Japanese people. They’re so friendly and happy. I don’t think I’ve ever met more polite and helpful people.”
