GVKC Championship Preview

press release

This Saturday will see the start of the Goulburn Valley Karting season, with the first round of the GVKC Championship Series to be held at the Numurkah Raceway. The Championship Series represents the fight for the title of Club Champion over the various competitor classes. Classes include Juniors: Midgets, Rookies, Junior National – light and heavy, as well as Seniors: Clubman – light and heavy, Leopard and Rotax.

With engine sizes ranging from 80cc to 125cc, karters can reach speeds in excess of 100kmh at the end of the Numurkah Raceway straitaway. Over 60 karters challenged in the Championship in 2007 and with the popularity of Karting gathering momentum and visitors from regional clubs recognising the calibre of the GVKC competition, we anticipate 2008 fields to be boosted.

The Goulburn Valley Kart Club invites anyone interested in Karting to come along this Saturday, anytime from 9am.

The Numurkah Raceway is located on the Numurkah-Katamatite Road, Numurkah. Spectator entry is free. Canteen facilities are available.
