Further, the most recent World Motor Sport Council meeting in Paris approved the following:

  • start procedure changes where the speed of karts will be controlled to around 15-25kmh approaching the start area in two distinct lanes
  • Reduction of homologation extensions for chassis, engines, bodywork, brakes, carburettors, ignitions and exhaust silencers in the interest of cost and stability
  • Introduction of a KF3 World Cup for Juniors
  • Approval of Rotax Mojo Euro Challenge as an FIA-CIK International series
  • Confirmation that Elto Racing will be the single exhaust supplier for the 2008 and 2009 CIK-FIA KF3 Championships, Cups and Trophies
