Dean Crooke continued his good form from Phillip Island, winning all 4 heats. In heats 1 and 2 (both 8 laps) and heat 4 (10 laps), he lead the field across the line by around 10 seconds each time and collected the fastest light division lap of 1.10.46 along the way. Heat 3 was marred by two safety car periods, with 3 of the 8 laps being run under yellow. Peter Gazzola finished 2nd on the day with Russ Occhipinti, in his borrowed Hyper, finishing 3rd.

In the Heavy Division, Chris Jewell had a great day scoring his first race win and finishing 2nd on the day behind the master, Colin McIntyre. In his first race off P-plates, he took the fastest heavy lap time of the day at 1.11.28 and put himself at the top of the division series points score, along side Lee Filliponi.
