Hewitt and Tenneson On Top At Super Sprint 4s Round

press release

The fourth round of the ProKart Australia Super Sprint 4’s Series was fought out on Saturday (April 19) at the Pacific Park International Kart Racing Circuit (Port Macquarie - North Coast of NSW) and it was Mitchell Hewitt and Kaylah Tenneson who dominated the day in their respective Senior and Junior classes.

In the Seniors Hewitt was unbeatable in the senior light class after he qualified on pole position, won all three of his heat races, the pre final, and took a strong victory in the final over arch rival Brendan Long and Matthew Ramsey. Other class winners in the senior ranks included Rick Ward (Heavy) and Nicole Ziedan (Sportsman).

Strong performances came from senior heavy class driver Rick Ward who actually finished third outright in the final, and it was a notable run for Matthew Ramsey, who put in his best round of the year with a third place finish in the senior light final.

Kaylah Tenneson proved too strong in the Junior Sportsman final after she took out victory over Cameron and Nick Hodgskin in second and third place respectively. Tenneson also won the third and final heat race and the pre final, and her main rival in Jessica Hodgskin won both heat one and two, but didn’t have the best of runs in the final and finished back down in fourth place behind her two younger brothers.

Making his debut in the Super Sprint 4’s Series was James Reddon and had a successful day and finished with the win in the Junior Series class.

Round five of the ProKart Australia Super Sprint 4’s Series will be held at Oran Park Raceway (Narellan, NSW) on Saturday, June 7.
