press release

The New South Wales Speedway Kart Club is holding the fourth annual Celebration Day meeting this Sunday and like this Friday’s ANZAC remembrance, the club celebrates and thanks the people & characters who have shaped or continue to give so much to the club over the past 16 years.

It’s certainly going to be a sensational day at the Nepean Motorsports complex with the NSWSKC expecting a good rollup this Sunday and while the meeting is a non championship round all the regular “hard chargers” should be present.

All eight divisions will honour a current or past member with the honour roll being:

Rookies                 Life Members     Rob Eyeington
Juniors                  Past Member      Gary Bourke
Clubman Light        Life Member     Tony Johnson
Clubman Heavy      Life Member       Brian Briton
KT Light                Life Member       Donna Eyeington
KT Heavy              Past Member      Ashley Smith
Formula 100          Past Member      Wayne Selvage

Like a normal NSWSKC championship round the first three place getters in each class will receive awards plus there will be other awards to be won with:

  • The Motorex Hard Luck Award
  • The On Track Automotive Encouragement award
  • The Stillshots Shot of the round award
  • And for the first time, The Celebration Day Team of the Year award. With this award the winning team will receive a set of tyres for both the senior and junior donated by Sayre Racing.

The Nepean Raceway is situated on Rickards Road Castlereagh with racing starting at 10am.
