Winning Form Continues For Aurisch

press release

Since capturing the Australian Speedway Kart Title only a few weeks ago, there seems to be no stopping John Aurisch in the Outlaws class with his latest victory being down at Moruya Speedway, on the South Coast of NSW, on Saturday night during the running of the NSW Title.

After last weekend going through the night undefeated on his way to victory at the Australian Grand Prix, Aurisch found the going a little tougher during his heat races for the NSW Title and looked a bit of the pace as he chased the setup for his kart.

Despite some setup woes Aurisch still managed to qualify third highest point scorer going into the feature race after he finished his four heat races with fourth, a pair of second places and a seventh place. Although not showing the best of form heading into the feature race Aurisch kicked into gear and blasted towards the front and on the second lap took control of the lead and paced the field for the remainder of the 15-lap distance.

Aurisch at the finish won in devastating fashion by more than half a lap and it was Graham Keats and Gavin Wesble that finished in second and third place respectively behind the winner.

“I didn’t have the best runs in my heat races and I took a gamble with the setup for the feature race and it paid off in a big way,” expressed Aurisch. “During the heat races I was struggling with a lack of grip around the track, but for the feature race I made a calculated setup choice and it worked like magic, it was like driving a complete new car.”

Since winning the Australian Title Aurisch has won the Australian Grand Prix and now the NSW Title for the Outlaws class.

Special thanks must go to Neville and Dianne Britton for all their hospitality throughout the NSW Title event.
DKS Race Engines finished 1st and 2nd in the Outlaws class would like to thank Ben for supplying strong and reliable engines. Aurisch would like to say thank you to his supportive family, wife Vicki and children Gavin and Connar, along with Tony, Diana, and Anthony Harrison. In 2008 Aurisch is proudly supported by Ben from DKS Race Engines and Graham from Keats Racing.
