New Karting Products

The e-kmi website has detail of a number of new karting related products now available in America. Of most interest is the Thor brake - a full contact brake that has more pad-to-rotor contact patch than a conventional kart brake, but uses a rotor not much larger than the axle diameter, thus eliminating the risk of striking the track or kerbs. Of course, the manufacturer claims shorter stopping distances, better feel etc etc, but regardless, it's a novel new approach for a kart brake (see pic below).
