Preview: Nepean Speedway + Series Points

This Sunday (May 18th) the sensational speedway karts return to the Nepean Motorsports complex for round 4 of the New South Wales Speedway Kart Club 2008 championship season. The Angel’s Roofing Accessories supported Shootout meeting will again feature the very best speedway karting action with over eighty karters expected to nominate for the meeting.

Its almost half way in the 2008 season and with all divisions except the KT Light (who are on volunteer duties) we will continue to see all divisions hotly contested at the Angel’s Roofing Accessories Shootout meeting.

In the 2008 points tally, Brent Coghlan (Clubman Light) is leading the NSWSKC Club Championship with 313 points but he is closely followed by 2007 Champion Michael Jordan (Juniors) on 309 with David Hopping (Formula 100) 308 just behind in third. Rounding out the top six are Wayne Baines (305) Nathan Bailey (303) and Jason Beattie (299) certainly making the GREAT 2008 championship a brilliant battle against some of the best racers in the country.

The NSWSKC meetings at the Nepean Motorsports complex are a great family day out and with the local Parramatta summer speedway season over the speedway karts are a great way to get that racing fix during the winter.

The Nepean Motorsports complex is situated on Rickards Road Castlereagh with racing starting at 10am.
