Report - Gosford Speedway Karts

press release

Hosted by Central Coast Speedway Kart Club on Sun 4th May 2008, Gosford Kart Speedway, Gosford Showground.

With beautiful sunny conditions, our track was again in great shape, due to rain earlier in the week, and more excellent  track preparation by our dedicated track team. Again, outside passing was possible for those who dared!

In the Midget class, Kyle Angel won the day with 3 race wins, followed by Corey Foyle who progressively improved over the course of the day.

The Rookies ended up with Reagan Angel blitzing the field, almost claiming maximum points, followed by Nikki Briton who took out the Feature race.

In the Juniors, Bradley Giffen took out the days honours, with Ashleigh Briton storming home in several races, to take a well deserved 2nd on the day.

With a large field of Clubman Lights, Natalie Genner ended up winning the day with 4 2nd places, followed by Nathan Bailey who was disqualified in the last race. Congratulations also to Stephen Coghlan for gaining another third place trophy.

In Clubman Heavies, Gary Slarke was victorious on a count back, after battling with Matthew Bond all day. Ross Turnbull also took out another 3rd place trophy.

In the Clubman Over 40 class, Stuart Bond took the days honours, but had too fight hard all day with Les Green and Mick Rumble to get there.

Our KT modified class continues to grow each meeting, and our new entrant this year, Nathan Bailey, took out first place again, but only by 2 points. Matthew Bond and Joel Goff took out the minor placings. It was also great to see Kris Maastricht return to racing after a year off!
