Preview - Round 2 Qld Rotax MAX Challenge

press release

After a hugely successful 1st round at Cooloola, the interest in the Advance Australasia Qld Rotax Max Challenge has been unbelievable and it is a good sign for Rotax drivers that the class is still very much alive and kicking.

Round 2 will be run under a qualifying format to ensure all drivers get a fair go and to increase race safety with the expected large fields. A copy of the supp regs for the meeting can be found on the Lismore Kart Club website (www.lismorekartclub.com) or the KartSportNews Events Calendar.

The Qld Rotax Max Challenge is a 5 round series where competitors can earn cumulative points for the series. Each competitor can drop their worst round. So for those of you who missed the Cooloola round, Lismore is your last chance to sign up for what is fast becoming some of the best Rotax racing the country has seen. Every round of the Qld Rotax Max Challenge is Sanctioned by Rotax which means on top of the series points each driver is also awarded points toward the National ranking system (the rankings were published in the daily news on May 20th).

Jnr MAX will again be running as a support class and we have had indications that  we will have up to 10 in the field. Kaos Karting still has 2 Jmax engines available for lease if there is anyone who wants to have a go and see what this great class is all about.

The grid at Lismore will only hold 28 karts so ensure you have your registration for the series in early.
