Vic Superkarts - Round 4

Round 4 of the Victorian Superkart Club's championship ran at Phillip Island on Saturday, May 31.

The track was still wet for qualifying but the entire field ventrued out on slicks. Gearbox numbers were down (due to the recent state titles?) but MAXes still had a pretty healthy field, including 2 Juniors (Brandon Stilwell and David Webster) which would have been 3 had Sean Whitfield not injured his shoulder at school a few days prior.

SA's Michael Rogers (he actually lives in Geelong due to work, but races at 'home' in Adelaide) had his first run in MAX Light at The Island in preparation for the upcoming Non-Gearbox Nationals in August. After a shakey heat 1, Rogers quickly got it all together and won the final heat making him the 3rd winner of the day in that class.
