Preview: Eastern Creek 24-Hour

The Powered by Honda supported ProKart Australia Endurance Kart 24 Hour race is primed to be held this Queen's Birthday Long Weekend (June 7 and 8) at the Eastern Creek International Kart Raceway, near Blacktown in NSW, where 20 plus teams are set for action.

The teams will take to the 1.024km Eastern Creek circuit, and this event is without a doubt one of the toughest Go Kart events around where it puts drivers to the ultimate test of driving skills and strategies of pit stops, kart preparation, and so much more.

The Eastern Creek 24 Hour event is to commence on Saturday morning with practice and qualifying followed by the much anticipated 24 hour race that is scheduled to begin at 12 noon and concluding the next day (Sunday) at the same time.

Amongst the 20 plus field of teams, that will comprise of between 3 to 4 drivers, it is hard to gauge the form, but the front running contenders heading into the event are teams such as the Wollongong City Raceway Jets, Kaos Racing, Horsepower Racing, Wild Hogs Racing, and many others.

Also on the program, aside from the 24 hour event, will be the latest round of the ProKart Australia Super Sprint 4’s Series which will compete on Saturday only and the Senior and Junior class are set to battle it out in practice and qualifying sessions followed by three heat races, a pre final and the all important final.

The Eastern Creek International Kart Raceway is located on Brabham Drive (Gate 2), Eastern Creek.
