Clarification

On May 29 we published a supplied press release indicating Daniel Richert may have broken the unoffical lap record for a non-gearbox kart at Geelong by turning a 31.47s lap during a recent Formula 100 race.

We have since been advised that Matt Wall officially holds the lap record for F100 of 31.332. This was clocked during quaifying for the Formula 100 support race at the Rotax Nationals on 3 September 2005.

Interestingly, at the F100 Titan round at Geelong on the weekend, pole was set by Aaron Ivermee (31.479) while fastest lap in the final - which was won by Richert with Wall 2nd - went to Sarron Caddy (31.593).
