Preview: Wollongong Sat Night Series Round

press release

The latest round of the Saturday Night Go Kart Series is to be battled out at Wollongong City Raceway (Kembla Grange, South Coast NSW) this Saturday night (June 28), with the on track action set to be aplenty.

Classes hitting the track at this Saturday Night Series event will consist of Midgets, Rookies / Juniors, Senior J, TAG, Rotax, Leopard, Clubman, and Shifter, so there is definitely going to be plenty exciting and close racing.

Two drivers that will be looking for back-to-back Saturday Night Series are last start round winners, Leigh Wright and Lee Day. Wright from the Clubman Heavy class and Day from the Clubman Light class came out victorious by taking out all three heats races, the pre final, and the final.

There is no doubt that the Saturday Night Series provides any Go Kart competitor, both young and old, with the opportunity to race without any hassle in a relaxed atmosphere and the main objective is to have fun. Drivers from their respective classes will battle it out in practice and qualifying, three heat races, the pre final and the much anticipated final that decides who will take out the victory for round five.

In total there is set to be 7 hours of non-stop Go Kart action, so the Saturday Night Series is certainly the place to be. As part of the Saturday Night Series, there is set to be the ProKart Australia NSW Title that is to be fought out amongst all the classes.

Saturday Night Series action is scheduled to begin at 2pm and continue into the night to finish at around 9pm. Wollongong City Raceway is located on the corner of West Dapto Road and Princess Highway, Kembla Grange.
