Which Aussies Are Off To Rotax World Final?

rotax world finalIn 2008 International Karting Distributors will offer to five lucky Australian karters (two juniors and three seniors) the opportunity to compete at the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals to be held at the fantastic La Conca circuit in Italy.

This amazing event is held over 5 days and the winners of the junior, senior and DD2 classes crowned as the World Champion.

The selection process for this year’s Australian team will be based upon the IKD Rotax ranking system points as of Monday 8th September 2008 (the day after the Rotax Nationals). The rules governing the allocation of points for the Rotax ranking system and the current rankings (Light and Heavy) are available for download from the IKD web site at www.internationalkarting.com.au .

The two junior drivers to be offered♦ the opportunity to compete in Italy will be determined by the highest and second highest point scorers in the junior rankings as of Monday 8th September 2008.

Two of the senior positions will be offered♦ to the highest point scorers in the Rotax Light and Rotax Heavy rankings as of Monday 8th September 2008. The third and final senior position will be offered♦ to the winner of Rotax Light at the Rotax Nationals.

One of the three senior competitors will compete in the DD2 class. IKD will select from the three senior drivers the person best suited to compete in DD2.

So, get your Rotax on the track and start accumulating points.
