Double Duty For Ramerman

press release

On top of his very successful debut in Formula Ford, 18 year old Daniel Ramerman has continued on his winning way taking out the Adelaide Superkart Club's 2nd round of the SA Youth Championships. The meeting was held last Sunday at Mallala.

On a slippery track and in strong windy and cold conditions, Daniel was able to set a new Personal Best lap time of 1:08.6084 in his 250cc TZ Yamaha Anderson International Superkart.  He won three of the four heats lapping consistently faster than the rest of the field.

In his previous two outings Daniel was deprived of outright victories due to mechanical problems.  In April, after having won heat 1 and leading heat 2 comfortably, the engine expired with both pistons dropping their skirts ensuring an early return to home base to rebuild the motor. At the previous round, after having top qualified and winning the first 2 heats brake issues resulted in DNF's for the last 2 heats.

Daniel who also achieved good results in March at Eastern Creek finishing as high as 6th in a strong field at the 2nd round of the V8supercars will be racing at Eastern Creek again this weekend in the 1st round of the CAMS Nationals Superkart Gearbox Class hoping to better his lap times and improving his outright result.  The 2nd round of the Nationals will be held at Mallala in November so a good finish at Eastern Creek is an important strategy for the Championship.

In August, Ramerman will also be contesting both the SA Formula Ford State Series (rnd 3) and the SA Superkart Championship which has just been added to the same program.
