Aussie Success On Two Wheels

Aussie Simon Gerrans won the 15th stage of the Tour de France (a 183km Alpine stage) on the weekend.

What has that got to do with karting? Not a lot, but an interesting little snippet is that the 28 year old once worked for DPE in Melbourne.

Gerrans combined his work for DPE (primarily welding and other odd jobs) with cycle training before heading off to pursue his career in Europe.

Ironically, Drew Price himself is also a keen cyclist - but dont expect him to head off to race a bike in France any time soon...
