press release

For the second round in succession, the Adrenalin Rush Racing team have stormed to victory when they took out the ‘Toowoomba 6 Hour’ last weekend (July 26 – 27) at Greer Park Kart Raceway, near Toowoomba in QLD, as part of the sixth round of the Powered by Honda ProKart Australia Queensland Endurance Kart Championship.

The in form Adrenalin Rush Racing team started from pole position and paced the field throughout the 6 hour event and completed a total of 423 laps on their way to scoring a convincing victory, adding to the team’s last round victory in the Queensland Championship, the ‘Cooloola 6 Hour’, at Gympie in June.

Behind the Adrenalin Rush Racing were the teams of DQ International # 17 (finishing on the same lap as the winners) and DQ International # 18 (five laps down) in second and third respectively.

The Top 10  in the ‘Toowoomba 6 Hour’ was rounded out by the NSW based Wollongong City Raceway Jets, PDS Grand Prix Team, McMah Racing, Kart PDS Grand Prix, BB Racing, Hydralink Racing # 666, and Hydralink Racing # 6.

ProKart Australia tried a different approach to the qualifying format and a one hour race on Saturday, where each driver contested a 10 minute qualifying session, plus a Top 5 single lap shootout. The Adrenalin Rush Racing team took out first place in the qualifier, and also set the fastest lap in the shootout and that allowed them to start the ‘Toowoomba 6 Hour’ from pole position on Sunday.

Current leaders of the Powered by Honda ProKart Australia Queensland Championship are now the DQ International # 17 team, and they are followed by the Wollongong City Raceway Jets and Hydralink Racing # 666 teams who are equal in second.

The seventh round of the Powered by Honda ProKart Australia Queensland Championship is to be held at Lincoln Country Kart Raceway, near Dubbo in Western NSW, on August 23-24. This has replaced the scheduled Lismore Kart Raceway (Northern NSW) round.
