Midget Driver Saves Dad's Life

A little over three weeks ago, young Midget driver Brayden Flood became a hero at the Geelong kart club by keeping a very cool head  when his father collapsed at home.

Young Brayden dialled 000 giving his name and address to the ambulance service while his father lay on the floor in severe pain with life threatening internal problems. Not only did Brayden dial 000, he stood outside in his PJs at 4am making sure they came to the right house - not bad for a 9 year old!

The team at Super 1 Karting in Geelong decided that Brayden should be rewarded for his brave effort and presented him with a set of Midget tyres at the last Geelong club day. It turned out a double treat for Brayden as he went on to win the day.

Thankfully, after spending over 7 days in hospital, Brayden’s father is making a good recovery from his operation.
