press release

Multiple Karting Champion Rhys Newman is proud to announce support from South Australian Motorsport enthusiast; Mr. James Rosenberg of Gawler Farm Machinery.

Rosenberg, himself a noted Sports Sedan driver from the 70’s and 80’s, has been instrumental in the success of a number of South Australian driver’s careers.
Both former “Main Game” V8 Supercar drivers Mark Poole and current V8 Development series star Tim Slade have been supported by Rosenberg who is also heavily involved in Formula 3, both as a car owner and in the category's management.

Rosenberg was also instrumental in bringing Englishman Ben Clucas to the Australian Formula 3 Championship, where he went on to become the first ever international driver to win the prestigious “Gold Star” award, the highest honor in Australian Open Wheel Motor racing.

“I met Rhys at Phillip Island recently where he was competing in the Superkart Nationals,” said Rosenberg.  “His maturity and the way in which he presented himself impressed me greatly, I can certainly understand why he was chosen for the CAMS (Confederation of Australian Motorsport) “Future Star Award” and the “Junior Development Driver Program”, he is an excellent ambassador to the sport” Rosenberg went on to say.

Newman, the 14 year old Urrbrae Student, is obviously ecstatic with the assistance.  “It was great to meet with Mr. Rosenberg, he was very down to earth, and his love for Motorsport is very obvious, I am very pleased to be supported by him,” said Newman.

“I’m always keen to foster young talent when I can,” said Rosenberg, and what I saw of Rhys at Phillip Island, especially in the atrocious conditions, inspired me to assist him” he concluded.
