Above: Last corner, last lap, Sera gasses it off the final turn and runs out past the kerbing onto the grass. Price almost got ahead by the finish line. David Sera - "I was driving it in pretty hard all race and I could feel the rear tyre burning up because the back would snap under brakes. The last corner I knew I could hold it flat (to stop Price from getting underneath) and use the run off so he couldn’t beat me”

Above: It was Father's Day and Sunday morning Kel Treseder and David Sera were snapped with their dads. Little did anyone know at the time, but those two dads were to get a great present from their sons later in the afternoon.

Corey McCullagh (15) faces skywards but kept going for 7th. It was also a set back for Matt Greenbury (38) who was fast, but ran into further trouble while buried in the pack.

Above: Paul Mapperson was one of the fastest in Rotax Over 35s. Starting from the back in the pre-final, Mapperson got snookered by a lapped kart returning to the pits and spun out. Starting up the back again in the final, he was making impressive progress until running over the rear wheel of Steven Smythe, putting both out of the race.

Above: Troy Woolston's 4th in the Rotax Light final earned him enough points to overhaul National Rotax Rankings leader Tom Williamson to win a slot at the World Final. Williamson had a shocker of a meeting. Unable to get up to speed, a last minute chassis switch (to a friend's spare CRG) didnt produce the speed he was hoping for in his last karting event (Tom is off racing Formula Ford next year with a new FF operation that an established race team is setting up)

Above: Bart Price and David Sera prepare for the Sunday morning warmup. Bart and the Arrow boys now face a bit of a dilemma. As the company develops and tests chassis for their next release, Price, Sera and Matthew Wall were all competing aboard unpainted prototypes. All three karts were a different design and subsequently “all three karts used their tyres differently” commented Bart afterwards. Nevertheless, the trio ended up filling the Rotax Light podium. So, which one will get the tick of approval?
