It was an eventful meeting, race one was in the wet, and we all had slicks, Speedway decided it would be a good idea to spin on turn 3 and unfortunately The King clipped Speedway while he rolled back unaware that gokarts have brakes. This had the effect of turning both karts into grass hoppers. Darkhorse went on to take victory, with Iceman second and The Assassin third.

After much frantic activity, and much help for Master Karting, The Master and Ash both Speedway and The King lined up with the rest of the boys for heat two. Speedway found he had no brakes as he had left some WD40 on them from the axle change, he was very disappointed as he had only just discovered they exist. The King went on to take the win convincingly. Unfortunately The Assassin lived up to his name and killed his kart, but was treated to Speedway putting on a drifting display in 4th.

The final was a 12 lapper and the TaG R boys didn't know how they would go.. into turn one the pack was close. Speedway used his newly found brakes into turn one so as not to take out The King a second time, Iceman and The Darkhorse battled through the race..but the winner was The King.

All in all an action packed day, rain, heat, dust and beer. Next race is the Gold Cup

Cheers all
Ran "Speedway" Maclurkin
