Mixed Fortunes At Rotax World Final

It would appear the Australians experienced mixed fortunes in the pre-final and finals at the Rotax World Finals.

Both David Sera and Troy Woolston finished well down the order in the pre-final of Senior MAX, Sera 21st and Woolston 31st with not one lap recorded. Both charged back in the final to 6th (Sera) and 11th (Woolston). The impressive Ben Cooper (UK) took the win. NZ's Josh Hart was 12th.

In Juniors, star performer of the bunch, Josh DeMaio, DNF'd the final on lap 2 after carding 7th in the pre-final. He had earlier won a heat race and started the pre-final off the front row. Chris Hays put in a solid performance with 13th (pre-final) and cracked a top ten finish in the final. Scott McLaughlin, racing under a NZ licence, was 6th in the pre-final but 19th in the final. Compatriot Nick Cassidy was 11th. The race was won by Argentinian Facundo Chapur.

Rick Pringle was 14th in the DD2 pre-final but it appears as though he was involved in an opening lap collision and sadly didnt register a lap in the final.. The win went to South Africa's Leeroy Poulter. NZ's Ryan Urban was 15th.
