Changes To National Rotax Rankings

press release

IKD wishes to announce a change to the National Rotax Rankings scheme.

All Rotax Rankings will now last one year from the date in which they are earned. This means that points earned will automatically expire 12 months from the date on which they are earned.

IKD has made this change as we believe that with the increase of clubs sending in results in 2009 (rankings points can be earned at every Rotax race meeting) AND that the top eight meetings (increased from six in 2008) are used to calculate rankings the bar might have been raised too high. Expiring points after one year allows all Rotax competitors the opportunity to go for the number one spot.

Please see the NRR documentation on the IKD and Rotax web sites for details.
