National Superkart Dates Announced For 2009

The dates and venues for the various Superkart National Championship race meetings in 2009 have now been announced. They are:

• Australian Superkart Championship, Round 1 - Mallala, June 6-7
• Superkart Non-Gearbox Nationals - Winton, June 27-28
• Australian Superkart Championship, Round 2 - Oran Park, August 29-30

In the coming weeks, SKA will formulate a 2009 Championships Registration scheme which will provide a method for superkarters to obtain a series race event entry discount in return for their registration and commitment to participate.  SKA will require the series entrants to pre-register to a level that sustains the financial commitment SKA will enter into on Superkarts behalf. 

The registration scheme will provide for a $50 entry discount to Entrants who support this underwriting of the Shannons Superkart Series.  Final entry fees will be published with details of the Registration Scheme for Series Entrants in short time.

"This enables superkarters to assist SKA to make the considerable financial commitment to secure these events.  The importance of member involvement in this area should not be under-estimated, nor should the focus of SKA to keep Superkarting a viable and strong motorsport category" SKA Chairman Phil Silcock said in a statement.
