New Kosmic Chassis & Bodywork On The Way

Two new models of Kosmic chassis are on their way to Australia. The new karts, named "Mercury" and "Lynx", comply with the new CIK-FIA homologation period. They are due to be available in Australia later this month.

"The technical department and the Kosmic Racing Team carried out great work together in a dynamic way which allowed Kosmic to do long test sessions on the track in order to bring the material to a top quality level in the most important competitions" Kosmic said in a statement.

MERCURY - This model is available for both KF and KZ categories. It is the new top Kosmic chassis which has been created to further improve the quality and on-track performance already tested and proved on numerous and important CIK-FIA events. The Mercury frame is a 30mm tubing and the Racing version is equipped with the new M4 bodywork and stickers with the traditional winning design.  The top version of the new model is provided with OTK brand magnesium accessories and brake systems OTK BS6 and BS7.

LYNX - This chassis has a 32mm tubing frame and has been studied to offer excellent performance and suitability for KF classes, but is especially suggested for the 125cc heavy class categories.  As with the Mercury, the Racing version of this model uses magnesium OTK accessories. The brake system can be either BS6 or BS7 model for the KF, or BS5 for the KZ.

The Lynx will be supplied with new OTK M4 bodywork.  Both of these two new KOSMIC chassis are available in Racing or Competition versions and will be provided with the new OTK rear protection. Brake disc can be either 180mm or 206mm.

OTK M4 BODYWORK; The M4 bodywork set is undoubtedly one of the most interesting features within the accessories section homologated for the next three-year period.  The new bodywork is the result of long hours spent testing in the wind tunnel where it has been further optimized to get a better aerodynamic package, and to allow the engine, radiator and brake system to benefit by the air flow in the best way during racing.

Some items of the bodywork that have been renewed - the side pods are now thinner, the front spoiler is equipped with important appendages and a new rear protection bumper has been introduced which has been reduced in weight and dimension.
