Brabham Wins Jnr Top Guns Rnd 2

Matthew Brabham made it a clean sweep by winning round 2 of the Junior Top Guns series held at the Oakleigh race track in Melbourne, Vic.  The Junior Top Gun series was held over two Friday nights back to back with the points added from both nights to determine the Top Gun for 2009.

Brabham, driving his DP Karts Arrow Jr Rotax, was the fastest qualifier and won both the prefinal & final with the fastest lap thrown in as well. Combined with his win in the first round Matthew was undefeated and scored the maximum points to win the Top Gun Title for Junior Rotax.

It was a very successful race for the DP Karts Team as Matthew’s team mate Tim Holowell finished second.

“The conditions were slightly different from last week but it only took a few small adjustments and the Kart was really flying.” Matthew said later. “It is good to start the year off on a positive note and I am looking forward to the rest of the year as I am sure we will be very competitive.”
