National Karting Association's Super Series

press release

From the brainchild of ProKart Australia; the National Karting Association (NKA) National Super Series is to debut in 2009 and it is set to begin this Saturday (February 7) at Oran Park Raceway (Narellan NSW) with the running of the opening round of nine.

Entries for the NKA National Super Series have exceeded over a 100 from across 18 different classes of Junior and Senior competition and ProKart Australia are expecting competitor numbers to increase as the series progresses.

“Well over 100 entries for the very first round of the NKA National Super Series is a very encouraging sign for the remainder of the year,” Tony Pullen said. “The response we have received from everyone has been very positive, as our entries for the opening round reflects, and the more the year carries on we’re confident numbers will only increase across both Junior and Senior classes.”

The NKA National Super Series is for both Junior and Senior classes and the race format for each class throughout the day is both practice and qualifying sessions, followed by three heat races and the all important final. The winners of the respective finals are to be named the round winner in their respective classes of the NKA National Super Series in 2009.

Joining the NKA National Super Series is the opening round of the ProKart Australia Super Sprint 4’s Series and this no doubt promises to add more excitement to the event from the drop of the first green flag. The Super Sprint 4’s Series is open to Senior and Junior drivers and classes include Sportsman, Light and Heavy classes in the Seniors and Junior and Junior Sportsman in the Juniors. The race format of the Super Sprint 4’s Series is practice and qualifying sessions, three heat races, a pre final and a final.

Saturday’s on track action is scheduled to start at 9am. Open practice sessions for ProKart Australia members only are to be held all Friday.

Throughout the day there will be various promotions via giveaways from both the ProKart Australia ‘Grid Girls’ and Redbull Energy Drink. Oran Park Raceway is located on the corner of the Northern Road and Cobbitty Road in Narellan NSW.
