Speedway Season Kicks Off With Champion of Champions

This Sunday (February 22) the sensational speedway karts start the New South Wales Speedway Kart Club championship season with the running of the Champion of Champions meeting at the superb Nepean Motorsports complex.

Round one is supported by BC Body Making and it promises to be a very exciting start to another hectic  karting year. We can expect to see good numbers in all divisions with Rookies, Juniors, Clubman (Heavy & Light) KT Open (Heavy &Light) and the premier division Formula 100 being featured this Sunday. The only division not racing is the Midgets as they will be on volunteer duties.

With some drivers moving or changing divisions, this Sunday’s shoot out will set the scene for an exciting year and will the running of the inaugural Australian Speedway Kart title scheduled for the June long weekend everyone will be out to start 2009 in winning fashion.

The racing was sensational last year with entries growing at every meeting and this being the first of eight round championship the racing will be hectic.

 Last years NSWSKC Club Champion Wayne Baines returns but he will not have it his own way with former champions Michael Jordon and Jonathan Bright more than willing to regain the championship crown.

The summer off season, everyone rebuilt and updating their karts for the 2009 season with the appearance of the race machine’s should continue to impress with their professional presentation.

The NSWSKC meetings are a family friendly “funday” Sunday with everyone welcome to become involved. Mums, dads, the kids are all there whether they are racing crewing or just watching its certainly a great day at the Nepean complex.
