Sodi Kart Unveils New International Karting Series

press release

SodiKart, based in Coueron, France will unveil the “Sodi W Series” (SWS) at Kart Expo on February 21-22 in St. Charles, Illinois. After years of research, Sodi has developed the 1st international leisure ranking of arrive and drive kart racing on both indoor and outdoor tracks. The new program - SWS - will allow racers throughout the world to become involved in karting, contending for a world championship while having fun without an investment in race equipment.

Here is how the SWS works: Drivers 15 years or older can participate at designated SWS partner tracks around the world in 8 classes, using Sodi 2 or 4 stroke karts in the Star Cup series or RX250 karts in the Master Cup series in two formats: Individual ‘Sprint’ events and team ‘Endurance’ events.

Points will be earned, posted and tracked world-wide via the Internet on a sophisticated website: www.SodiWSeries.com. Drivers and teams can participate in as many events as they would like and the best results will count toward the International Leisure Ranking.  Drivers can race in any country on any designated SWS track. At the end of the season a SWS International Final will be held at a site to be announced in January 2010.

Indoor and outdoor tracks which become Partner SWS circuits will benefit from marketing tools and a media plan second to none; tools such as banners, pennants, point-of-purchase advertising, etc., as well as permanent communications through numerous media partnerships world-wide.

Gildas Merian, owner of Sodikart said, “The world is developing, the world is on the move, the world is changing. Everyday, our clients are given new entertainment opportunities. The range of activities gets even wider and the market is diversifying. In this context, together we must organize ourselves in order to consolidate and establish the position of our discipline: Karting.”
