Brendan Nelson Joins Doyle's Racing

press release

Doyle’s Racing Kartsport is pleased to announce a major expansion of its Karting involvement in 2009, with the signing of 17 year old Toowoomba driver, Brendan Nelson to the Yatala based Team this week.

Nelson, the current South Australian Open and Queensland Closed Clubman Heavy Title holder, will compete in 2009 under the Harrington Doyle Corporate Resources Sports Usage Program, in the familiar blue / green livery.  In addition to his Clubman Heavy entry, Brendan’s Rotax Light entry will also be included in the program.

“After our first season in 2008, we wanted to build our competitive strength,” said Team Manager, Craig Doyle. “James Greenwood certainly lifted our success rate last year and we wanted to maintain that momentum going forward.  Welcoming Brendan, Larry and Jenny to our newly expanded team, we feel that we can do that in 2009.”

“With the support of our corporate partners and the foundation families that make up the Doyle’s Racing Kartsport franchise model, we’ve also been able to grow the team from 4 Karts / 4 drivers in 2008 to 8 Karts / 6 drivers in 2009”, said Doyle.

Currently considered to be 14th in Australia’s Top 50 Karters for 2008, Nelson brings a wealth of talent to his new team, including 2nd at the 2008 NSW State Titles, winning the inaugural 2008 Qld Gladiator Series, podium results in all 3 rounds of the 2008 NSW Premier State Cup and 2nd outright in the 2008 Qld Rotax Series.

In addition to his Clubman Heavy and Rotax Light commitments to Doyle’s Racing Kartsport in 2009, Brendan will also compete in Leopard Light and take the wheel of a Formula Ford in the NSW 2009 Series for Anglo Australia Motorsport.
