Practice Day Report - Central Coast Speedway

press release

Central Coast Speedway Kart Club kicked off its 2009 racing season last weekend, with a busy 2 day schedule. A full track regrade last Friday, and the intermittent but well timed rain throughout the entire weekend, helped to water & pack the track beautifully.

Saturday was our first Come & Try day for the year, with many new members and drivers signing up on the day. It was great to finally see Bernie Peters and Sharon Gillespie having a run and getting their licences.

Then Sunday was our first Practice Day in preparation for our Round 1 race meeting next Sunday 1st March. Our regular karters had better watch out, as some of our new drivers are quite impressive ! Many of our new drivers are doing their Flag Day, so we hope to have plenty of Volunteers. The track is in perfect shape for this round !
A big thanks must go to all the Volunteers who helped out over the whole weekend ! A great time was had by everyone, and feedback from all was very positive.

Remember, we are offering a new Ladies Clubman class from this Round as well, so if any Ladies want this class to take off, please support it !

Note: There have been some changes in this years rule book, and that for all Clubman classes, Clutches will no longer be compulsory, and that we will continue to run our Local Club rule in regards to tyres.

We are now taking orders for our new club shirts (many people are saying they are long overdue !).
