It all started out by Simon Grubb & Shannon Aplin getting invited to a "come and try" day at the Adelaide Dirt Kart Club in 2007. Knowing each other for some 25 years, Simon and Shannon have participated in many sports together. During their football years, Simon and Shannon were both given "nick names" these being, Grubby (Simon) and Muddies (Shannon). These names have stuck with both of them which is how and why MUD GRUBB RACING was formed.

Chad Quinn and Brenton Aplin are the latest team member to join Mud Grubb Racing Team and the team now has a website which showcases the teams race results, racing photos and gives the team sponsors some coverage via the internet: www.mudgrubbracing.com.au

2008 saw the team land some excellent results and as the season wore on, some of the boys finished on the podium at a few meetings. Shannon Aplin was the first driver to take a meeting win and is growing in confidence in the Kt Heavy class.

The team has now updated to new Brown Racing Karts and with a little luck, they all will see more podium finishes in 2009.
