6 x Aussies For Egypt

Six Australian karters will fly the Australian flag in Egypt at the 2009 Rotax Grand Final in December.

With the recent announcement that Egypt's Ghibli Raceway will once again host the world final, Australian Rotax importer/promoter, IKD, reminds Rotax karters that Australia gets to send 6 drivers.

The National Rotax Rankings scheme will be used to determine the six drivers that are offered the opportunity to compete.

At a date to be announced (most likely the Monday following the Rotax Nationals) the top two ranked Junior Rotax drivers, the top ranked Rotax Light driver, the top ranked Rotax Heavy driver, the top ranked DD2 driver AND the top ranked Over 35’s driver will be offered the opportunity to compete at the 2009 Rotax Max Challenge World Finals.

The drivers that compete in the DD2 class in Egypt will be the DD2 driver and the Rotax Heavy driver. The Over 35’s driver will compete in the Senior Rotax class.

The package for the lucky six is being finalised but at a minimum includes entries for the event. Further details will be made available as they are provided to IKD by Rotax. There will be costs to each competitor including airfares, transfers and accommodation.

A video of the 2008 event is available for download (or viewing) from the Rotax Australia web site at www.rotax.com.au

The Rotax Pro Tour and 2009 Rotax Nationals are the ideal opportunities to gain rankings points. With over 245 registrations for the Pro Tour thus far, these events are shaping up as the must attend events for 2009.

Terms and conditions apply. Please see the IKD and Rotax web sites for details.
