Dramatic Wagga Weekend For Butcher

press release

It was a dramatic weekend for Bronson Butcher Motorsport at the launch of competition at the new Wagga Kart Track.

Practice in the morning was delayed, and due to the harsh nature of the ripple strips, Bronson was one of several that threw a chain. However, the team obviously had another issue causing the same problem which didn't become obvious until after the 3rd race. With that sorted overnight, Bronson went into the finals under prepared and from the back of the field, but was able to get settled quickly and make his way to 5th in the pre final.

The longer final on Sunday afternoon provided all the excitement and drama that goes with the J-Max class. The weather looked like playing a hand with light showers but they cleared in time. "The kart was a bit late coming on but I was able to maintain 5th" the local driver said. "When it did come on it was one of the fastest out there and I was able to pull the front guys in".

Bronson made it to 2nd but despite relentless pressure could not get around the leader. Then the 3rd placed kart joined the fracas for the run to the checkered flag. Bronson had to take some evasive action on the last corner and an excursion throught the dirt, but made it back on the track to take 3rd, within a second of 1st. "It was a tough race but a good one" Bronson said "It was great to get the kart back to being fast and reliable and testament to the support we have, and the Wagga club have made a good step forward with the new track design".

Bronson Butcher Motorsport is proudly supported by HJM Race Engines, Kart Equip, Oga Marketing, Churchill Transport, Doc Pearson, Bel Ray Lubricants, and Back Straight Massage.
