The Hyper PRO Racer

press release

With the current word world financial crisis hurting most industries - including motorsport - on a global scale and with grid sizes tumbling across Australia a new cost-effective racing formula was revealed recently.

The brainchild of 1986 Australian Formula Two Champion, Jon Crooke, and his son, Dean - the Hyper Pro Racer looks certain to provide a cheap and attractive stepping stone for karters and club racers looking for maximum performance at an affordable price.

With the cost of a ready to race machine capped at $25,000 and with Formula Ford performance, the Hyper Pro Racer fills the current void facing drivers looking to race on Australia’s best circuits – resultantly, the timing for this exciting product’s arrival could not have been better.

The Hyper Pro Racer is powered by a 450cc Yamaha 4-stroke engine, will reach a top speed of 235km/h and uses a 5-speed sequential gearbox.  Other than cockpit adjustable front anti-roll bar and brake balance mechanisms the category will be a controlled formula, ensuring running costs are minimised and on-track action maximised.

A unique safety cell design will also ensure the driver has the best possible protection in the event of an accident and the Hyper Pro Racer incorporates a number of state of the art safety features never before seen in Australian motorsport.

The first Hyper Pro Racer chassis is nearing completion and despite the project having remained strictly under wraps until now, six orders have already been placed.
