Speedway Kart's "Biggie” On This Weekend

The inaugural AKA Australian Speedway Kart titles will be run at the superb Nepean Motorsports complex this weekend (June 6 &7) and with the best karters in NSW nominated it was certainly be a sensational title shootout.

The Title is hosted by the New South Wales Speedway Kart Club and they have planned a great weekend of action. While all the top stars will be fighting it out on the track for that Australia One crown, current and former speedway champions will be highlighted during the weekend.

During the weekend speedway fans will rub shoulders with these Champions oOf the sport, the men you will grace the venue this weekend are:

 Dick Briton         5 times super modified Aust Champion,
Garry Brazier       5 times and current Sprintcar Champion
Craig Brady         1997 speedcar Aust Champion
Tony Hopping     1987 Dirt modified Aust Champion
Rod Bowen          1990 Aust compact Champion
Brett Mitchell       current Aust street stock Champion
Mark Richards      2002 Micro Sprint Aust Champion
Max Dumesny      3 Times Sprintcar and a formula 500 Aust champion

The action will be fast and furious, and to be crowned as the Australian Champion will see the very best action of the year.

Nominations are strong in all divisions with Rookies, Juniors, Clubman (Light & Heavy), KT Open (Light & Heavy) and Formula 100’s all highlighted this weekend.

Even speedway stars (and former speedway karting racers) Tim Evans and Rod Bright have returned to the Nepean for the Australian Title while Litre Car star Steve Zarb has nominated in the Clubman Heavy division.

The regular NSWSKC “heavy hitters” like Wayne, Alana & Jake Baines, Graham Keats, Nikki & Ashley Briton, Kyle Pollock, James Camilleri, Les Green, Daniel & Anthony Selmes, David Hopping, Michael Jordan, Nathan Bailey, David Boyd, Jonathan Bright, Jason Freer, Corey Foyle, Mathew Pescod, Matt Goff just to name a few have nominated, so we can expect to witness the best of the best this weekend.

Be trackside this Saturday and Sunday as the Speedway Karts ignite the Nepean Motorsports complex. The Nepean Motorsports complex is situated on Rickards Road Castlereagh.
