White Jnr To Test Open Wheeler In China

Canberra Karting and current Australian Champion Warren White Jnr has been offered a test drive in the competitive AGF (Asian Geely Formula) series, the top Formula racing event in China.

Warren Jnr and Warren Snr will spend one week in Cheng Du to be fitted and tuitioned before Warren Jnr will test drive for three prospective teams. "This opportunity has been made to happen through a great motorsport management team here in Australia" White informed KartSportNews.

The team will spend two weeks in Beijing and Shenyang with potential sponsors to promote and campaign Warren's 2010 racing calendar throughout Asia which will enable him to race in a 5 round series. "We have to sacrifice some major (kart) meetings this year to fund Warren's overseas commitments, including state titles in Queensland and the Premier State Cup in NSW" White senior said. "We have been offered some very good deals within Australia - Formula Ford and Aussie Legends - but we know we cannot support the huge invoices that go with the glory. But in Asia they are chasing talent and we can deliver that."

"We are also very excited and are looking forward to November 2009 when Warren turns 16" he added. "This will see him step up to the Speedway ranks with a brand new car awaiting." The Canberra Karting team will travel the east coast of Australia to compete in the major Super Sedan meetings. "Along with his commitments in Karting, we will be very busy."
