Red Rooster Ultimate Kart Give-Away

AKA press release

Red Rooster, the Townsville Bulletin and Kelly Racing, in association with HOTFM and the Australian Karting Association (QLD) have joined together to provide the ultimate karting give-away, which could ignite the career of a future Dunlop Townsville 400 winner.

The competition winner will receive a brand new Arrow race kart, race trailer, race suit, gloves, boots and helmet, membership of the Townsville Kart Club and Australian Karting Association license courtesy of the AKA Queensland and a $2000 race budget – all this is valued at around $25,000.

To top it all off, on Monday July 13, Kelly Racing – owned by former Bathurst winners Todd and Rick Kelly - will conduct an exclusive coaching clinic at the Sun City Raceway in Townsville with the winner.

To enter you need to fill out the coupon in the Townsville Bulletin and drop it into one of the participating Red Rooster outlets in North Queensland by 5pm on Wednesday, July 8.

The winner will be drawn during a special function on the morning of Thursday July 9 during a special cross with the team at HOTFM.

Karting is not only seen as the breeding ground for future champions, but also a destination for regular racers and one of the most enjoyable family sports available, according to Rick Kelly.

“Red Rooster are a terrific partner of Kelly Racing and when they said they wanted to do something special to celebrate the inaugural Dunlop Townsville 400 we worked together with the Townsville Bulletin, HOTFM and AKA to come up with this concept,” said Rick.

“Karting is where it all began for myself and Todd and for almost every other successful motorsport competitor. Its competitive, its where you learn your race craft and, most importantly, it’s a lot of fun.

“It would be fantastic to be competing against the winner of this prize in a few years time. Equally, it would be great to see a family win the kart and for them to have a heap of fun.

“This is a massive prize and I am sure there will be thousands of entries. Readers should make sure they grab a piece of great chicken while they are dropping off their entries.”

You can enter the competition as many times as you like and only original entry forms from the Townsville Bulletin will be accepted. Entries close at 5pm on July 8.
