Rescheduled Speedway Kart GP This Sunday

With rain forcing the New South Wales Speedway Kart Club to postpone the Speedway Kart Grand Prix, the speedway karts will attack the superb Nepean Motorsports complex this Sunday (July 19) for round 5 of the 2009 championship season.

The Speedway Kart Grand Prix meeting is proudly sponsored by Design Effects will see the very best speedway kart racers racing on the fast Nepean Motorsports complex. With the series past the half way point, everyone will be out to gain points for the 2009 championship crown.

Clubman Light racer David Boyd is leading the NSWSKC 2009 championship points tally with 440 with 2008 champion Wayne Baines (KT Open Heavy) holding second position on 429 points. They are followed Kyle Pollock (425), Jonathan Bright (402), Daniel Sayre (397) and Luke Sayer (388) who completes the top six.

This Sunday the Clubman Heavy division will be missing as they are on volunteer duties but Midgets, Rookies, Juniors, KT Open (Light & Heavy), Clubman Light and the premier Formula 100 will feature strong line-ups and we can expect to witness another sensational Sunday full of speedway racing action.

Last month the NSWSKC hosted AKA Australian Speedway Kart title’s with the new title holders Corey Foyle (Rookies), Kyle Pollock (Junior Light), Matthew Pescod (Junior Heavy), David Boyd (Clubman Light), David Hopping (KT Open Light), Wayne Baines (KT Open Heavy) and Jonathan Bright (Formula 100) having their first drive back on the fast Nepean track. They will certainly not have an easy day with everyone out the new Aussie title holders. It’s a day not to be missed.
