Vale: Thomas Knopper

News has come through that 2007 European ICC Champion Thomas Knopper has been killed in a KZ2 kart race in Germany on the weekend.

The 19-year old Dutchman collided with another kart on a right-hand corner shortly after the start and hit an embankment. He died at the scene. German police have not released full details of the incident which also injured another driver.
