Mount Gambier Enduro Festival - Entries Closing Soon!

press release

Building on its success over the last two years the Mount Gambier Enduro Festival is set to return on the weekend of September 5th and 6th with prizemoney increasing to $3,700 and now Midgets and Rookies running as two separate classes.

The Enduro Festival offers something completely different for racers with a Sunday race of 330 laps for the TaG 125 and the Midgets and Rookies racing over 150 laps.  Plenty of practice time is also offered on both Friday and Saturday and then two qualifying sessions on Saturday afternoon.

Enduro racing adds a new element to kart racing with strategy, team work, preparation and stamina all playing a part in the success of any team.  Factors such as tyre and driver changes, refuelling and the occasional stop/go penalty all add to the event and challenge each team to think on their feet.

The TaG classes will once again be running the MG Red tyre ensuring the competition remains close.  There will be two weight  divisions of light and heavy with the Rotax, Leopard, Fireball, SQ Cheetah and Biland engines all being eligible.

Prize money has increased to $3,700 this year which will be split between 1st, 2nd and 3rd placegetters, fastest qualifiers and leaders on lap 125 and 250 for the TaG Enduro.  The Midget/Rookie Enduro will receive prize money for 1st, 2nd and 3rd placegetters plus trophies for  for the fastest qualifiers.

Entries close on 28th August and places are limited.  See www.mgkc.org for more information.
