Toowoomba & Lockyer Valley Kart Club Races

A small field of 60 competitors turned out for a great day of racing last Sunday August 23 for the Len Patti Mitsubishi sponsored event, with Sportsman Light the feature class on the day. Like the weather, the racing was hot in most classes.  With the lower entry numbers, the race officials provided all competitors with additional racing laps for the pre-final and final.

Randy Morgan had a great day in Midgets with 4 wins from 4 starts, and fought hard with a couple of Rookies all day. Likewise Tyson Iseppi showed the other Rookies the rear of his kart for most of the time. Tim Harris recovered well from a DNF in the third heat to score the win in the final to secure first on the day in Junior Evolution Heavy.

Ryan Kennedy proved far too good to take out the feature class from Trent Forbes and Angela Leerentveld.
125 Restricted TAG is growing in popularity, as more karters are going for the electric start option. Cousins Jason and Josh Dorn put on a good show in the lights, before Jason took the honours in the all important final.
